Ride down an active volcano.
Check us out on YouTube!
And Again!
We meet at the Quetzaltrekkers office at 8:00 in the morning. From
the office, private transport takes us on a one-hour journey directly to
the base of Cerro Negro, passing through beautiful Nicaraguan farmlands
on the way. Then we unload our volcano boards and begin a 45-minute hike
to Cerro Negro's summit.
After taking in the impressive views from the top, learing about the volcano, and visiting the crator, we receive a tutorial
on safely descending the volcano, put on a protective jumpsuit, and we set off volcano boarding. We
quickly reach the bottom, rest and have a light snack, then if you choose, you have the option to
climb Cerro Negro again for another run! We then have lunch at the Ranger Station. After lunch we return
to Leon, arriving around 3:30 pm.
Start at 8:00 am in Quetzaltrekkers office
Back the same day at 14:30 pm in Quetzaltrekkers office.
