Getting there:

Hop on a bus

Quetzaltenango is Guatemala´s second largest city and has good bus connections to Guatemala City where the nearest international airport is located (4 hrs). There are also plenty of bus connections to and from other cities in the Western part of the country as well as daily shuttles to Antigua, Lago Atitlán and San Cristóbal (Mexico). For up to date information about transport to and from Quetzaltenango, check out www.xelapages.com or read our FAQ.

Hike it

Our office is located in the back of Casa Argentina, a backpacker hostel that is run independently of Quetzaltrekkers. We´re about a 10 minute walk from Parque Central – just around the corner from Mercado Flores (see map below). Our address is:
Diagonal 12, 8-43, Zona 1, Quetzaltenango. Outside, you will see Casa Argentina and Quetzaltrekkers murals on the wall. Knock on the entrance door to be let in, go through the kitchen, up the stairs and onto the landing, then down the next set of stairs and to the very back, passing hostel rooms until you see the Quetzaltrekkers sign and office.
